Partners Sophia Klopas and Jason Stratton are a brother and sister team who have been in the Illinois real estate market for over twenty years. Together they offer complementary skill sets and professional expertise that makes the KlopasStratton Team truly unique. 2015 was a great year for the team with 65 million in sales in areas like Bucktown & Wicker Park, Pilsen, Roscoe Village, Gold Coast, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park. The team was recognized for the 8th consecutive year at the Chicago Association of Realtors sales awards ranking in the top 1% of all realtors and amongst the top 20 brokers in the City of Chicago.
Sophia has a Master’s Degree in Interior Design which assists her buyers in stepping back and noticing the appeal of different properties. Certain things that buyers may overlook, Sophia notices. For the piece of property that has everything a buyer wants, but is missing “that-little-something”, Sophia Klopas can fix it. Her approach gives buyers a unique vision of their property and a great understanding of what will help in a re-sale later on. On the selling side, Sophia’s background is extremely strong. Having unbelievable taste and great experience in design, she is able to look at a listing and tell the owner(s) what is needed for a quick and profitable sale. Sophia resides in Bucktown.
Jason comes from a finance background and has been heavily involved with the real estate market since 1998. Since stepping into the Board of Trade 16 years ago, Jason always kept an eye on the housing market. Jason began to acquire real estate his first year in the financial market and used this economic approach to increase and decrease holdings as he continuously weighed out the risks and rewards. Jason prides himself on examining a client from heart to mind, understanding the passion one has for a piece of property and assessing a property’s fair value. Jason understands that not only will his clients consider this place their home, but for most people, their largest single investment. Jason lives in Roscoe Village with his family.
Chris Johnson's determination, professionalism and insistent strive for perfection make for a work ethic that can’t be beat. Joining KoenigRubloff in 2013, Christopher comes to our company with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Iowa. He enters the real estate business from the sports marketing industry, in addition to an extensive background in hospitality and restaurant management. Born in Houston, Texas, Chris moved to the Midwest at a young age to the north shore suburbs of Chicago.
Erica Petraitis joined the KlopasStratton team as an assistant in early 2015 while she was finishing school at Governor’s State University. After several months on the job, she realized she wanted to make it a full-time career. Attracted to a career that fosters life-long learning, the ever changing market of real estate was a perfect fit. Her role as assistant prepared her for being an agent better than any course could. Erica managed every detail of every deal- throughout the entire process. She knows what to look out for and how to negotiate. In this sense, Erica truly exemplifies “forward thinking” in everything she does, always thinking one step ahead in the transaction process. She has made roots in the Lakeview area, where you’ll catch her sampling Southport’s newest restaurants (occasionally with her pups Petey and Mimi) or jogging along the lakefront.
Erika Anguiano comes from a construction background with extensive knowledge of interior build outs. After five years of working as a Senior Project Manager, she worked hand in hand with a real estate company and investors overseeing a 52-unit rehabilitation project in Lincoln Park. At this point she discovered her love for selling, and made a full transition into real estate. Her desire to serve her clients’ particular needs coupled with her customer service expertise, construction knowledge, and her hard work allows her to stand out in the industry. Erika lives with her fiancé, his four daughters, and their two Shih Tzu’s in Old Irving Park.
Mina Fakouhi is a lifelong Chicago resident. After a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Mina transitioned to real estate, a field that fits her like a glove. A people person who loves to get to know her clients, their needs and their goals, Mina is also an innovative thinker who likes to challenge industry norms. In a previous role, she developed software that enhanced guest experiences and increased employee productivity. She is applying the same methodologies to catalyze change in the real estate industry. With her expertise in customer service, she takes the utmost pleasure in finding future homes for her clients, and makes the perfect addition to the KlopasStratton Team. Passionate about “green” developments, yoga, and a food fanatic, Mina loves walking down the 606 and sampling local restaurants in her neighborhood of West Town.
Armed with an extensive background in relationship driven sales, Sean Patton is committed to providing excellent service, loyalty and satisfaction to each and every potential client. Succeeding a degree in Communications at Eastern Michigan University, Sean became a Regional Sales Director for a medical supply distributor throughout the Midwest. After a successful 10 years in the medical supply industry, Sean transferred his relationship driven sales experience into real estate. He currently resides in Old Town where he enjoys playing basketball and exploring new restaurants.
